Introduction
One of the fattest fish of the Arabian sea, diamond trevally – pattal is delightfully tasty fish that is perfect for full grill or fillet. Using a little imagination, the fish could be said to be diamond-shaped.
Although not very abundant Diamond Trevally – Pattal in the Arabian sea, it’s exclusively available at Niwan seafood. Its more famous in Australia and a certain part of Europe and is also known for game fishing.

Habitat
This fish occurs in tropical and warm temperate marine waters of the Arabian sea.

Physical Attributes
It has a compressed body and a long straight snout. It has a large forked tail and long curved pectoral fins. The anterior section of the dorsal fin has long filaments in juveniles.
Color
The Diamond Trevally is silvery with a blue-green tinge above. Juveniles have five to seven broad, dark bands.
Size
On average, size range is 500 to 1500 grams per fish. However, other sizes are also occasionally available.
